This padding is closed-cell waterproof marine-grade foam with an antimicrobial to eliminate growth of mold or rot, this padding acts as a shock-absorbing barrier that reduces impact, eliminates the possibility of chemicals in Pressure Treated Wood causing corrosion or electrolysis of Aluminum Hulls, eliminates chafing, and helps prolong the life of your bunk carpeting by preventing direct contact with rough wood surfaces. It’s engineered to withstand wet environments, resist mold and mildew, and stay firmly in place during use.

Installation

Simply install by either stapling and gluing (recommended) or just stapling in place.  For glue down applications use the same Roberts 6700 adhesive, applied with an 1/8" inch notched trowel, or the Renewed Warriors Bunk Carpet Adhesive sold in the tube. Unlike the Roberts - do not use a trowel and spread the Renewed Warriors Bunk Carpet Adhesive just allow the bead of adhesive be compressed by weight.  The Padding is also designed to have the carpeted glued down atop the padding as well if desired.

Need a Longer/Wider Size?

Padding Can Be Installed one section after another to achieve total length required (For Example: An 12Ft long bunk board would require a 95in section installed and then another 95in section cut to fit until the 12 foot long bunk board is covered.  Simply install by either gluing and stapling(recommended) or stapling in place.  We also sell larger bulk rolls that are 6Ft in width and either 5Ft long, 8Ft long, or 10Ft long for customers and DIYers to cut strips to their own desired width or total length - those larger bulk rolls will be a slightly lighter grey color and a slightly different composition but provide the same protection as the pre-cut strips.
